As student support inititaive, the institution provides a variety of personal and academic support services to ddress each student’s identified needs.The problems lying in  different areas  like academic,personal,vocational ,financial problems are attended through different activities.Under this feature we provide  programs like academic tutoring, personal counseling, mentoring, financial guidance, Remedial Teaching,Inclusion for the challenged students and other supports necessary for educational access and retention.


Constitution of Students Grievance Redressal Cell 2014-15


Broadly, a grievance can be defined as any discontent or dissatisfactions with any aspect of the institution. It can be real or imaginary, legitimate or ridiculous, stated or unvoiced, written or oral. It must, however, find expression in some form or the other.

Grievance Handling Mechanism in Education:

o   Acknowledge the dissatisfaction

o   Receiving and defining the nature of the grievance

o   Defining the problem

o   Getting at the relevant facts about the grievance

o   Analyzing the facts, after taking into consideration the economic, social, psychological and legal                    issues involved in them


As a part of student support system the institution offers a Grievance Redressal Cell which is empowered to look into matters that may interfere in creating a conducive learning environment in the institution. It is headed by the Principal Dr Vasundhara Padmanabhan and Ms Usha Sharma, faculty member in charge of the Students Council.  Anyone with a genuine grievance may approach any of the department members in person, or in consultation with the Faculty In charge. Every Thursday from 4 pm to 5 pm, the faculty in charge can be approached with the grievance.

In case the person is unwilling to appear in self, grievances may be dropped in writing at the letterbox/ suggestion box of the Grievance Cell at Administrative Block. Grievances may also be sent through e-mail to the Faculty In charge of Grievance Cell.
